It addresses the main reasons why I don't post anything on Facebook:

1. I don't want to share everything with everyone.
2. If I come up with something which can be shared with pretty much everyone, I might as well post it on my blog (where the data would still be under my control).

At this point, I'm convinced Google+ has a good chance to obliterate Facebook. By expanding its user base from a very limited social group to everyone and their pets, Facebook thought it would become invincible (through network externalities). Instead, it became unusable.
